Rand Beiruty

(she/her) is a writer, director, creative producer and the co-founder of Shaghab Films. She holds a practice-based Ph.D. from Film University Babelsberg and is an alumna of Berlinale Talents, Rotterdam Lab, Tribeca Film Institute, and Villa Aurora, among others. Her debut feature "Tell Them About Us" premiered at CPH:DOX and won the 2025 German Documentary Film Award. Her animated short "Shadows" premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival and went on to screen at 100+ festivals, won over 20 awards, and was shortlisted for the 2026 César Awards.
