They swear by "the word made flesh" - by lucid lyrics that, with the leaden weight of their meanings and through a fog of metaphors, bitterly cut into the core of the normalisation of these cruel times and the politicking nonsense we are force-fed by the media. The bittersweetness of time and space, captured in seductive melodies, intriguing lyrics, and eclectic expression. They set things straight with clear cries of dissatisfaction and mercilessly hold a mirror up to empty words, hollow gestures, and polluted, narrow minds. Transferable across small, intimate worlds; mostly private, half-hidden. Uncertain. A band with songs, a drum machine, riffs, day jobs. With brokenness and catchiness. Children. Meanings. Crushes. Vita Kolar is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of graphics, design, animation, and VJing. Her live visuals are a collage of colourful spaces, abstract forms, and retro-futuristic elements, generated through feedback loops, modular structures, and her own experimental materials. Her sets intertwine digital introspection with raw, visual intuition. Her performance is a performative experiment where entirely new forms, structures, and impulsive visual landscapes that resonate with the moment are created.
