María Lorenzo Hernández

(1977) is Chaired Professor of Animation at Universitat Politècnica de València and a member of the Spanish Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences. A leading figure in Spanish experimental animation, her films have been awarded and exhibited in over 40 countries, highlighted by her Goya Award nomination for 'The Night Ocean' (2015). Her work merges music, drawing, and cinema to explore unconventional aesthetics, constantly investigating the potential of rhythm and visual textures.
