Workshot: Pixilation Station – Children's stop motion animation workshop with Sandra Jovanovska

17. - 20. 9. 2025 between 16.00 and 19.00 or 11.00 and 15.00, Maribor Puppet Theatre

In this workshop, we will create a short film using the stop motion animation technique. Echoing this year's festival edition, the workshop's theme will be dedicated to comedy; we will explore how humor and the grotesque shape our perception of the world. Participants will create short animations using pixilation and recycled materials. During the creative process, we will explore the sustainable aspects of art and examine how we can create without waste, save time, and have fun while doing so. The goal of the workshop is to develop short animated films that express a critical view of social issues, while also encouraging reflection on reusable materials and our role in the creative process. The workshop will be led by Sandra Jovanovska, a multimedia artist, with assistance from Brina Fekonja.
