Sarah Braid

lives and works in Upper Austria and Vienna. She studied Fine Arts (Painting and Animated Film) at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and completed her bachelor’s degree in Time-based and Interactive Media Arts at the University of Art and Design Linz. She has been working in the field of graphic design, illustration and animation since graduating from „die Graphische“ in Vienna. She deals with various forms of expression and media in visual art focusing on painting, drawing, (frame by frame) 2D animation and creating cartoons and comics. In her work she deals with socio-political feminist topics as well as with everyday observations, which she puts on center stage by directing the focus to inconspicuous everyday moments. She also likes pigeons, framed pictures on walls, open windows, wool socks and coffee cups, that’s why they appear very often in her artworks.
