Of fate and coincidence. Inspired by casino culture where gamblers put faith in superstition to face luck-based games, where no strategy can guarantee a victor, this work juxtaposes compositions that are at times random, and others meticulously constructed.

O usodi in naključju. Delo, ki ga navdihuje igralniška kultura, kjer se hazarderji pri igrah na srečo zanašajo na vraževerje in nobena strategija ne jamči zmage. Sooča kompozicije, ki so včasih naključne, spet drugič pa skrbno zasnovane.

Long Yuet Wong, Irene Nathaly, Sze Wa Lam, Destania Linuara

are a collective of Creative Media students from City University of Hong Kong, united by our passion for the arts and moving images. The team comprises multidisciplinary backgrounds in photography, digital animation, and time-based media, each member bringing unique skills and perspectives into the project. Inspired by shared similarities in our cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs, the film Luck expresses the irony of chance and superstition in possibly the most direct form – gambling culture. Their work aims to inspire and provoke thought, inviting audiences to reflect on their beliefs about luck and destiny.
