Miguel Anaya Borja

born in Mexico City, he is an independent animation producer and director. He studied Graphic Design and film, and has been nominated five times for the Ariel, winning for his first short film De la vista nace el amor. His work has been showcased and awarded at international festivals like Cartagena, Málaga, London, Hollywood, and Annecy. Recent projects include Mi abuela Matilde, an IMCINE film screened at over 70 international festivals. In 2024, he was selected for the IBERMEDIA grant in Panama. He has taught at UIA and ESCINE and served as a jury member at various film festivals.
