Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña

(Chile, 1980) have worked together since 2007, exploring religious and mythical themes in Latin America through mixed techniques and stop motion. Their debut feature, The Wolf House, won the Caligari Award at Berlinale 2018. In 2024, The Hyperboreans premiered at Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight. They are currently in post-production of The Plague and in pre-production of Hansel and Gretel, their fourth feature, with executive production by Ari Aster.
