Irina Rubina

is an animation filmmaker and artistic professor for the MA Animation at the HSLU, Lucerne. With her Stuttgart-based company iraru.films, she produces and directs short films, music videos and hybrid & collaborative projects that explore the boundaries between animation, film, stage performance, music and dance. Irina’s films have been widely screened at international film festivals, including Annecy, DOK Leipzig, Animafest Zagreb, ITFS Stuttgart, Ottawa, Monstra Lisboa, Ars Electronica, LIAF, and interfilm Berlin, and have received numerous awards. Since 2021 she is a board member of the ASIFA Germany Chapter.
