The panelists represent websites and streaming platforms based in Slovenia and Slovakia, dedicated to the promotion of international art-house cinema culture in its short and feature-length animated, documentary and live-action form. Various profiles of the projects generate different approaches towards operational models based on streaming, providing virtual space for online festivals, aggregating and verifying data about the films as well as facilitating users' access to the films released on youtube, vimeo and other channels. At the same time all the projects rely on the principle of curating the content, i.e. arranging and enabling contextualized viewership of quality, art-house film works. The discussion will embrace (but will not be limited to) following topics: methods of navigating and searching for an art-house content outside of netflix-style, commercial platforms; strategies of engaging the viewers/users in VOD experience without diminishing/rejecting value of cinema experience; VOD in the times of "online culture overdose" generated by the pandemic; users/viewer experience of becoming a curator thanks to interactive, engaging devices offered at the websites.
